Firing order for 8n ford tractor

Situation: Working on uncles tractor. I understand firing order is 1-2-4-3 Question: #1 closest to fan. Should wire as marked of distributor marked 1-2-3-4 goes as 1-2-3-4 on plugs from front to back OR are 3 and 4 switched? The tractor was running before he burned up points which I'm replacing now.Thanks, Ricky

The cap numbers just help make sure you put the right cylinder plug wire on the right location on the cap.
