The hotbar was completely empty, and wouldn't let me place anything into it. I ended up getting softlocked in the intro because even basic items--like the "jump" action--were missing.

hotbar doesnt expand currently. it used to extend horizontally, but ea atm doesnt have it. full launch looks like its gonna have vertical expand tho, i've seen 4 rows.
