Jake brake not working on high

Dec 3, 2006 · My friend has a C15 CAT and says the Jake engages properly, but is late to disengage. I have my jake Brake book, only talks about problems with the Jake Brake not working. I have never wrenched on a CAT, just Detroits. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance. :thanks: Sammy

Jake brake not working on high. Special thanks to you ShooterK2, I started the truck today, flipped the cruise control ON, used the reset to try and increase rpm, didn't work. So with the engine running, cruise control on, I put my foot under the clutch pedal and lifted it UP, then used the reset and sure enough the engine rpm increased.
