3 posts · Joined 2006. #1 · Aug 2, 2006. I have a 1995 Vulcan 750 that will not start. Here is the story. The bike fell over one night. All seemed ok then the next day I go to take it out, turn the key to on, get all the lights that I should, press start and nothing. After reading many treads I have tried to narrow down the problem.

Kawasaki vulcan 1500 starting problems. I just purchased a 97 Vulcan 1500 classic, I think I got a great deal, the bike is superb. It just needed a tire, a battery, and I had to fix a minor oil leak. The bike makes a bit of a fuss shifting into 2nd gear, it grinds for a second before finding the gear. Occasionally the shift is smooth, but 9/10 it grinds.

2008 VN1600 crank but no start. Hello all, new member here. Having a no start issue. Bike is a 2008 kawasaki vulcan nomad 1600. Currently has 66,447 miles on it. No modifications, all stock. Tank is half full of new gas. Battery is fully charged. I checked the voltage at the terminals when trying to start and it is reading 10.8v on my meter.

If your 1500 vulcan won't start... It's not the sidestand switch, if it won't start. It just won't run with sidestand "down" and in gear, with the clutch out. So here's the troubleshoot. Took the ignition switch apart and found resistor had broken and appeared to be making intermittent contact.

The heat problem is the heat that is directed at the rider when in stop and go traffic and the fan comes on. It will not start in neutral unless the clutch is pulled in. It has always started in neutral before.
