Where I'm at so far is I've converted the Boyd's Marlin 60 stock to accept the 795 action, and plugged the tube feed channel. It's going to look OK after I put some poly on it. Boyd's refused to send a 795 thumbhole stock to my state because of a misunderstanding of rules (I'm assuming because it's got an evil magazine), but I think this stock ...

Most of them don't know that there are well over 3 million 795's out there. And the current mags fit the old Model 70 Marlins (pre-Clinton Gun-ban) as well.
