1913 posts · Joined 2010. #18 · Aug 28, 2011. yes, there is a manual override I have discovered. if you pull the rubber boot on the shifter and look at the column, there is a small white L shaped platic piece/lever. if you gently pull that towards you it will disengage the shifter and allow you to shift from park.
